Terms of Use

Responsibilities of AceScore and the parent or guardian who creates and manages an account.

Effective: 29 July 2026privacy@acescore.com.au

Plain-language summary

AceScore provides practice, progress tracking and formative feedback. It does not replace a teacher and is not an official NAPLAN, ICAS, school or government assessment.

  • A parent or guardian must create and manage the account.
  • AI and automated feedback may be wrong and must be reviewed by an adult.
  • Do not upload unnecessary personal or sensitive information.

1. Agreement and account responsibility

By creating an account or using AceScore, the parent or guardian agrees to these terms and acknowledges the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create or use an account.

The adult account holder must supervise the child, secure login methods and keep account information accurate. A child must not create or independently control an account.

2. The service

AceScore provides practice questions, readiness and mock assessments, progress history, wrong-answer review, writing activities, parent reports and optional AI-supported explanations or feedback.

Features, question availability and free-access periods may change. Where practical, material changes will be communicated before taking effect.

3. Educational and AI limitations

Scores, skill estimates, explanations, transcriptions and writing feedback are educational aids only. They may contain errors, may not reflect complete ability and must not be the sole basis for school, tutoring, health or other high-impact decisions.

An adult should review automated output. AceScore does not guarantee a particular NAPLAN, ICAS, school-entry or academic result.

4. Parent consent and child safety

The account holder confirms they are the child's parent or guardian and may authorise use of learning responses for personalised practice. Use must be supervised, age-appropriate and in the child's best interests.

Do not enter a child's full name, address, school, phone, precise location, health information or other unnecessary sensitive information into answers, writing, comments or uploads.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not access another family's account or private information.
  • Do not share access outside the family or bypass controls.
  • Do not probe, disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service.
  • Do not upload malware, unlawful material or content infringing others' rights.
  • Do not use assessment content to create or train a competing question bank.
  • Do not represent AceScore output as an official result or professional opinion.

6. Your content

The family retains ownership of original writing and submitted content. You grant AceScore limited permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service.

You must have the right to submit content. Do not upload school assessment papers, paid third-party materials or another person's work without permission.

7. AceScore and third-party content

AceScore owns or licenses its software, original questions, design and reports. You receive a limited, personal and non-transferable right to use the service for family education.

NAPLAN is administered by Australian education authorities and ICAS is a third-party assessment program. References describe practice categories and do not imply endorsement, partnership or official status. Third-party materials remain their owners' property.

8. Privacy and service providers

Personal-information handling is described in the Privacy Policy. AceScore relies on providers including AWS, Google, Resend and, if enabled, Meta. Their terms and privacy policies may also apply.

9. Availability, changes and suspension

We work to keep AceScore reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, provider failures, security incidents or events outside our control may interrupt service.

We may restrict or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to protect a child, another user, the service or legal rights. Where appropriate, we will explain and provide a contact path.

10. Account closure

A parent or guardian may stop using the service at any time and request permanent deletion by following /data-deletion. Completed deletion is permanent.

11. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, AceScore is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss from reliance on practice scores, automated feedback, third-party services or interruptions. You remain responsible for decisions made using the service.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by New South Wales law. Before formal proceedings, the parties should try in good faith to resolve the issue. Questions: privacy@acescore.com.au.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or law changes. Material changes will be communicated and changes affecting consent may require acceptance of a new version.
